Operation Hastings: July, 1966. U.S. Marine and ARVN forces strike through the Demilitarized Zone. Reenactors from 1st Force and Airsoft Reenactors Group participated in a 1-day operation.

The goal of the operation was to thwart the North Vietnamese 324 B Division's efforts to take control of Quang Tri Province. The mission is strategic, engage & drive off the NVA's 324 B Division and prevent further infiltration into northern I corps. The brushy hill country and tangled jungles in the mountains bordering the eastern DMZ was unexplored territory for American Infantry forces.
